Program Description

Body

Curious about bees and how beekeepers care for them? Join us for an engaging, all-ages introduction to the basics of beekeeping! This hands-on presentation explores the life of honey bees, how a hive works, and what beekeepers do throughout the year.

Participants will see real beekeeping equipment, parts of a hive (bee box), and beeswax, and learn how honey is made and why bees are so important to our environment.

(No live bees will be present.) Registration is recommended!
